The Firefighter Cancer Support Network released a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.firefightercancersupport.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Taking-Action-against-Cancer-in-the-Fire-Service.pdf\">white paper<\/a>\u00a0in 2013 on cancer in the fire service and what firefighters can do to prevent it. The paper included\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nvfc.org\/files\/documents\/safetyhealth\/FCSN-immediate-actions-against-cancer.pdf\">11 immediate actions<\/a>\u00a0you can take to protect yourself against cancer. Find additional resources for taking action against cancer in the fire service from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.firefightercancersupport.org\/\">FCSN<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nvfc.org\/hot-topics\/cancer\">NVFC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>11 Immediate Actions to Protect Against Cancer<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Use SCBA from initial attack to finish of overhaul.
